In order to promote the Norco brand and provide both our domestic and international partners with support through Internet presence, Norco has developed several useful sites.

Norco employs a team of in-house web designers to ensure that sites stay up to date and use the latest technology. The current site offers an easy-to-navigate Flash interface and an HTML-based option, so that all users can enjoy the site. Norco.com includes features such as 360-degree and zoom-in bike viewing, Factory Team photo slideshows, a video gallery, bi-weekly news updates, rss feeds, video podcasts, desktop wallpapers, consumer photo galleries, and a bike registration/customer database. The site averages over 100,000 unique visitors per month and is currently available in both English and French.

The team section of the norco.com website features pages for each of our Factory Team riders. On each rider’s page, visitors can view videos, images, the latest rider-specific news, bios, and information about team bikes, accessories, and even the music that each rider prefers.

A permission-based section of norco.com that allows dealers access to our bicycle inventory, Parts & Accessories Catalogue, product listings, wholesale pricing, and current stock availability. Through the site, dealers can place orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Norco offers an ‘opt-in’ monthly E-Newsletter through norco.com. The Norco ‘E-News’ now reaches over 13,000 readers per month with news about our company, team riders, events, and products.

In-Store Marketing

In addition to online support, Norco offers its’ partners the opportunity to enhance their product with in-store marketing material: spring flyer programs, point of sale displays, signage, banners, and posters, all designed to showcase the Norco bicycle brand and Norco’s proprietary parts & accessories brands.

Factory Team & Grassroots Sponsorship

Our athletes range from extreme ‘freeriders’ featured in action sports films, magazines, and TV commercials, to international pro downhill and cross-country racers. All athletes on the Factory Team are chosen as much for their positive personalities and influence as they are for their cycling prowess. We are proud to sponsor professional athletes who also serve as motivational speakers in schools, cycling advocates who defend and build riding areas for their communities, role models for disadvantaged children, and top level cycling coaches.

Our athletes are considered to be among the hardest working and most approachable in the business. They don’t just represent our brands, they advocate the sport of cycling.

Event Presence & Demo Fleet

Our eye-catching vehicles travel in excess of 140,000 km per year to event locations across North America. Our athletes and staff attend events from February to October. In fact, the Norco Factory Team attends more events than all other Canadian bike companies combined. In an average season we will attend over 55 events including consumer shows, advocacy events, races, and festivals. At events we provide consumers with free technical support, feature our athletes in autograph sessions, and offer our bike demo fleet for test rides.

VPS-Fest: Norco’s Rider Appreciation Day
VPS-Fest is Norco’s one-of-a-kind rider appreciation day. In 2003 we created our first VPS-Fest event as a fun way to give back to the riding community and a great excuse to get Norco riders together for a great time. Since our first event, VPS-Fest has grown and expanded into a much anticipated event on many Norco riders’ calendars. For the past few years, we have increased both the number of participants, and the number of locations. We are also continually expanding the event itself to keep it interesting and to encourage riders to come back each season. This event gives us the opportunity to say “thanks” to our riders by providing FREE {or discounted} lift-accessed riding, FREE tech support by World Cup mechanics, FREE flat and wheel repair, the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes, and much more.

Advertising

We believe advertising and increasing the perceived value of our brands are crucial aspects of dealer and distributor support. Norco’s in-house graphics department is a collaboration of graphic designers, desktop publishers, and photographers, who create a variety of advertising and promotional material to highlight the Norco bicycle brand and Norco’s proprietary parts & accessories brands. Every year, our graphics department creates brochures, catalogues, bike colours and decals, team and event promotional pieces, print advertising, and in-store marketing material. Norco’s photographer supports many of these projects with product photos taken in our on-site photography studio.

Print & Web
Currently Norco is advertised in many North American, European, and Asian industry and consumer magazines. We also take full advantage of our strong internet presence by advertising with a wide variety of online magazines. We use these ads to increase our products’ credibility with bike shops and consumers.

TV
As the official bike sponsor of Ride Guide TV for almost ten years, our Factory Team and bikes are regularly featured throughout the 13-episode season. Ride Guide airs on Global(North America), the Outdoor Life Network (North America), the Extreme Sports Channel (Europe, Middle East, AXN Spain, AXN Latin America), and the Fox Network (Australia and Australasia). This provides Norco and its partners with national and international TV exposure.

Recently, the Norco Factory Team has also been featured in several segments of the German adrenaline sports show, Rebel TV. Rebel TV chose to follow our team riders and event crews for four weeks in 2006 from mid-May to mid-June. Each segment of Rebel TV reaches 90 million households worldwide and is syndicated on CanWest Global, as well as in 41 other countries.
